Read your record carefully
What to check on your result or scorecard
Compare your displayed score and candidate record with your registration details. The exact fields and download format depend on the authority’s release.
Identity and category
Check the candidate name, enrollment number, registered class and allotted region wherever those details are shown. A mismatch can affect how a student interprets the relevant selection route.
Marks and outcome
Read the score alongside any qualification label, shortlist or accompanying notice. A self-calculated score is useful for review but does not replace the authority’s evaluation.
Keep your registration record, hall ticket and result copy together. Score challenges closed on 9 October 2026 at 6:00 PM and are not accepted by email. Keep any existing challenge acknowledgement. Use the helpdesk for login or access problems.
Read the official notice carefully
IOQM provisional result, final result and score corrections
A provisional score, a final score and RMO selection can be different stages. Check the wording of each official notice before treating a displayed score as final.
Scores and score challenges
Compare your candidate details and score with your own records. The official portal confirms that score challenges are closed. The deadline was 9 October 2026, 6:00 PM, and challenges are not accepted by email. A displayed score does not by itself confirm RMO qualification.
Read your individual qualification status
Read the final marks together with the relevant region, category and qualification notice. Save the scorecard and check the next-stage registration instructions if selected.
Official cutoff and paper review
The official regional marks now replace coaching estimates for RMO selection. Read the released 2026 cutoffs and check individual status in Student Login.

IOQM 2026 cutoff and RMO qualification rules
The 2026 selection criteria require at least 10% of the paper’s total marks for consideration. This minimum alone does not secure a place.
| Selection route | Rule after meeting the minimum threshold |
|---|---|
| Category A · Classes 8–11 | Top 200 in each region, including ties at position 200 |
| Category B · Class 12 | Top 40 in each region, including ties at position 40 |
| Additional Category A girls | Five additional students per region, including ties at that boundary |
| Category B girls | No separate girls’ quota; the Category B selection rule applies |
Overseas candidates have additional provisions in the criteria. Use the allotted region and full rules for your case. The MTA(I) region list includes boundaries and special school regions; it currently carries a tentative-list note.
A certificate and RMO selection are separate outcomes. Consult the Certificate Criteria linked from the MTA(I) 2026 page for certificate eligibility.
Official notes and individual qualification status
The cutoff PDF states that flagged students were removed before the cutoffs were calculated. Check your individual status in the official Student Login; reaching a table value alone does not override an individual restriction.
The MTA(I) malpractice announcement explains banned and probationary statuses. For students covered by a school ban, the notice sets an appeal-intention email deadline of 24 October 2026, 8:00 PM IST. Read the complete notice for the required process; an appeal does not itself confirm eligibility.
