Where to check the IOQM 2026 result
The official IOQM portal FAQ says results will be published on the portal. Students should monitor:
- Official IOQM portal
- MTA(I) IOQM 2026 announcements
- Messages sent to the registered email address or mobile number, if the authority uses those channels for the update
Use the student’s enrollment details and registered contacts. Avoid result pages that request unrelated payment, a new registration or unnecessary identity information.
IOQM.in organises official links and explains the process. Only the organising authority can publish or correct a student’s result.
Read the outcome correctly
Score, eligibility threshold and qualification are not the same
Score
The marks produced from the evaluated paper under the final official key and rules.
Minimum threshold
For 2026, at least 10% of total marks is required for RMO consideration, but this does not ensure selection.
Qualification
Selection applies the official region, Category A/B, ranking, ties and girls’ quota rules.
A student can meet the minimum threshold and still fall below the last selected score in the applicable regional route.
RMO selection summary
The 2026 rules behind the qualification status
| Route | Selection rule after the 10% threshold |
|---|---|
| Category A · Classes 8–11 | Regional top 200 plus ties at the 200th position |
| Category B · Class 12 | Regional top 40 plus ties at the 40th position |
| Additional Category A girls | Five per region plus ties at the fifth additional position |
| Category B girls | No separate girls’ quota; selection must occur within the top-40 rule |
While waiting
What students should keep and avoid
Keep safely
Enrollment number, registered email and mobile, hall ticket, candidate copy of the OMR sheet if provided, question paper and any official communication.
Avoid
Repeatedly entering details on unofficial sites, paying for a “result unlock,” assuming a provisional key is final or treating a predicted cutoff as confirmation.
If the result says qualified
Shift from numerical answers to proof writing
RMO is a different form of examination. Begin by writing complete arguments, making every inference explicit and studying examples of correct proof structure. A numerical answer that feels obvious is not enough at the proof stage.
- Read the official RMO schedule and eligibility instructions.
- Save the IOQM result and any qualification communication.
- Open recent RMO papers and official solutions.
- Practise full proofs in number theory, algebra, geometry and combinatorics.
- Get feedback on missing justification, not only on the final conclusion.
If not selected
Use the result as evidence—not a verdict on ability
Review the final key, compare the attempted paper with the student’s preparation record and identify whether the main limitation was concept depth, problem recognition, incomplete cases, time choice or OMR accuracy. This produces a better next plan than repeating the same material immediately.
A student who remains age/class eligible can prepare for a future cycle. Even when the examination route ends for an older student, the mathematical habits developed through Olympiad work remain valuable for proof-based learning and other advanced mathematics.

Questions answered
Frequently asked questions
Has IOQM Result 2026 been released?
No. As of 28 July 2026, the examination is scheduled for 6 September and no result date has been announced.
Where will the official IOQM result be published?
The official IOQM portal FAQ says results will be published on the portal.
What details should I keep for result access?
Keep the enrollment number, registered email/mobile, hall ticket and OMR candidate copy or question paper if provided.
Does scoring 10% mean I qualified for RMO?
No. Ten percent is the minimum eligibility threshold; regional/category ranking and quota rules also determine selection.
How are Class 12 students treated?
Class 12 students meeting the minimum threshold are Category B and are considered under the regional top-40-plus-ties rule.
Is a predicted cutoff the official result?
No. Only the organising authority’s published result can confirm qualification.
What should a qualified student study next?
Begin proof writing and recent RMO papers while following the official RMO schedule and instructions.
What if my result details appear wrong?
Save evidence and contact the official student helpdesk using the registered details; do not create a new registration.
