A HEALTHY PARENT ROLE

Support the process without turning every worksheet into a score.

The most useful parent questions focus on the child’s thinking, not only on how many questions were correct.

ASK

“What did you try?”

This encourages the student to name a strategy and notice what information it produced.

NOTICE

“What changed in your thinking?”

Progress may be a better diagram, a cleaner case split or a more precise explanation.

PLAN

“What will you review next?”

One specific repair task is more useful than repeating a large set without diagnosis.

7-DAY FAMILY STARTER CHALLENGE

Give your child one problem, one page and twenty quiet minutes a day.

Days 1–4: one problem from each major area. Day 5: revisit the hardest attempt. Day 6: read and reconstruct a strong solution. Day 7: explain one idea aloud. The goal is not seven perfect answers; it is seven honest thinking sessions.

CHOOSE THE NEXT STEP

Start at the student’s present level.

Classes 7–8 can build a foundation-first approach. Older students with Olympiad experience can work at greater depth and speed.
