IOQM 2026 Paper and Answer Key Released After 6 September Exam

Students can now review the released question paper and answer key. Ajeet Dubey & Team Mathiit’s worked solutions and expected cutoff analysis are also available.

By IOQM.in Editorial Desk

The IOQM 2026 question paper and answer key have been released following the examination on Sunday, 6 September. In its announcement dated 6 September, the Mathematics Teachers’ Association (India), or MTA(I), confirmed that the examination had been conducted and provided links to the key and papers for all sets.

The release lets students compare their recorded answers, estimate their marks and revisit the problems while their approach is still fresh. The paper folder includes English and Hindi versions. Students should match the version printed on their own booklet before comparing question numbers or answers.

What yesterday’s IOQM paper contained

The released English version M1 has 30 questions, with numerical answers recorded on an OMR sheet. Its instructions allot two marks each to questions 1–10, three marks each to questions 11–20, and five marks each to questions 21–30. There is no negative marking.

The opening M1 questions include a chessboard-colour count, a divisibility-and-remainders problem, constraints on integers and digits, and triangle geometry. These examples give students a starting point for reviewing their methods; they are not a complete topic distribution or a difficulty rating for the whole examination.

How to estimate your score

Count correct answers separately in each marks group, then calculate 2 × correct two-mark answers + 3 × correct three-mark answers + 5 × correct five-mark answers.

For example, eight correct two-mark answers, six correct three-mark answers and four correct five-mark answers give an estimated score of 54 out of 100. This is an illustration, not an expected cutoff.

Use the responses actually marked on your OMR copy. An answer remembered later or written only in rough work should not be counted as a submitted response. Preserve your candidate copy for later checks.

Where to download the paper and find the answer key

Open the released English and Hindi question-paper folder. Choose the matching version, then follow the exam-key link in MTA(I)’s 6 September announcement.

An expected cutoff is an estimate. Keep your class/category and allotted region in view when using the analysis; it does not confirm RMO qualification. Our cutoff guide explains the distinction between an estimated score, a qualifying threshold and selection.

What happens next?

No IOQM 2026 result announcement or confirmed result date was found in the MTA(I) announcements and IOQM portal checked on 7 September. Follow the IOQM Result 2026 status page for the checking process and qualification guidance.

While waiting, separate questions you solved confidently from those you guessed, left unanswered or approached incorrectly. Rework a few of the latter without a timer, then compare your reasoning with a complete solution. That review is useful whether your next step is RMO preparation or another year of Olympiad practice.
