Accuracy and accountability

Corrections Policy

How IOQM.in handles factual errors, significant updates and reader-submitted evidence.

Effective 11 August 2026Same-URL updatesMaterial changes disclosed
Accuracy comes before appearance. If an official date, eligibility rule, fee, result status or other material fact is wrong, we correct it promptly and make the change understandable to readers.

What counts as a correction?

Material factual error

An incorrect date, deadline, amount, eligibility condition, exam instruction, selection rule, quotation or source attribution.

Meaningful missing context

An omission that could cause a student or parent to take the wrong action or misunderstand official status.

Routine update

A new official development—such as release of a hall ticket or result—added to a previously accurate tracker.

Minor edit

Spelling, grammar, formatting or link repair that does not change the meaning of the article.

How we correct published work

Check the evidence

The editor compares the claim with the responsible authority’s current page, notice or document.

Fix the page

We update the existing URL so readers, links and search engines reach the corrected information.

Explain material changes

For a significant error, the article receives an update or correction note describing what changed and when.

Our disclosure rules

  • Substantive corrections are not hidden by silently replacing an important fact.
  • Routine official updates receive a visible “updated” date or status where readers would reasonably expect one.
  • Minor typographical or style edits may be made without a correction note because they do not alter meaning.
  • If the original claim cannot be verified, it is removed or rewritten with the uncertainty made clear.
  • Archived dates are preserved when they help readers understand the sequence of an announcement.

How to report a possible error

Use the IOQM.in contact page. Include the page URL, the sentence or data point in question, and a link or copy of the supporting official evidence. Please do not send passwords, OTPs, payment details or other sensitive personal information.

Editorial responsibility

Corrections are reviewed under our Editorial Policy. IOQM.in is independent of the official IOQM authorities, so an official notice always takes precedence over our summary.
