IOQM 2023 region-wise cutoff
The 2023 table contains RMO-selection cutoffs only. The official PDF did not publish a separate Regional Certificate column: the HBCSE/MTA(I) criterion stated that a student scoring at least 10% of the total IOQM 2023 marks would receive an IOQM certificate. Blank official cells are shown as “Not officially published”; they are not treated as zero.

How to read the IOQM cutoff tables
Category A cutoff
The RMO qualification cutoff for the official Classes 8–11 group, or the equivalent Category A definition used for that year.
Category B cutoff
The RMO qualification cutoff for Class 12, or the equivalent official Category B definition. There is no separate girls’ quota within Category B.
Girls cutoff
An additional girls’ quota cutoff applicable to Category A. A blank or NA value does not mean the cutoff was zero.
Regional and National Certificate cutoffs
Certificate cutoffs determine certificate eligibility; they do not automatically determine RMO selection. The two data types should always be checked separately.
Frequently asked questions
Is the IOQM cutoff the same in every state?
No. RMO-selection and Regional Certificate cutoffs are generally calculated for official regions. Some regions combine states or union territories, and their boundaries or names may change between years.
Are IOQM qualifying marks and the RMO cutoff the same?
Not necessarily. A minimum qualifying condition may make a student eligible to be considered, while the actual RMO-selection cutoff depends on the regional and category quota.
Was the IOQM 2025 score normalized?
Yes. The official document states that cutoffs were counted against normalized scores and that Leg 2 scores were multiplied by 1.5.
Why are some 2023 values shown as “Not officially published”?
The official 2023 table left those cells blank. This archive does not estimate missing figures or replace them with zero.
How many marks should I target?
Historical cutoffs are useful reference points, not guarantees. A safer target is comfortably above your region’s recent Category A or B cutoff, while accounting for changes in paper difficulty and selection rules.
