IOQM 30-Day Study Plan: Revise, Test and Protect Accuracy
The final month is not the time to collect everything. Use four controlled weeks to repair the highest-value gaps, practise mixed decisions, review mocks and stabilise OMR and exam-day habits.
Reduce resource switching. Take one diagnostic, choose a small number of high-value repairs, practise mixed questions, review every mock and protect sleep and OMR accuracy. The purpose is to make existing mathematics more dependable—not to rush through an entire advanced syllabus.
Day 1
Create an honest baseline and a short priority list
Use one recent official paper or a balanced 90–120 minute section. Record correct, incorrect, skipped and guessed questions separately. Then classify each difficulty by domain and error type.
Repair now
Basic concepts or common patterns that can improve with focused work in a few sessions.
Maintain
Strong areas that still need mixed practice and accuracy checks.
Defer
Very advanced gaps unlikely to justify large final-month time at the expense of dependable topics.
Days 2–7
Week 1: repair foundations and recurring errors
- Choose two weak domains and one accuracy habit.
- Review concise concept notes or a trusted lesson.
- Solve a small graded set immediately after learning.
- Write complete solutions for questions that exposed reasoning gaps.
- Reattempt the Day 1 missed questions without viewing old work.
- End the week with one mixed timed section, not necessarily a full paper.
Keep the daily workload realistic around school. A focused 60–120 minutes with review can be more productive than a long session that becomes passive solution reading.
Days 8–14
Week 2: move from topic comfort to mixed decisions
IOQM does not label the method above each problem. Use mixed sets so the student must identify whether a question suggests divisibility, factorisation, a diagram, casework or another route.

Days 15–21
Week 3: full-paper simulation and deep review
Take one or two full simulations only if the student is ready to learn from them. Use the current duration and official-style instructions. Keep the environment quiet and avoid pausing the timer for hints.
- Mark the start and finish time for every pass.
- Record questions abandoned after substantial time.
- Separate confident answers from guesses.
- Check OMR transcription independently of mathematics.
- Spend at least as much focused effort on review as on taking the paper.
- Create the final repair list from the mock—not from anxiety.
Days 22–27
Week 4: consolidate instead of expanding
Continue
Error-log reattempts, short mixed sets, familiar theorem/idea review, one controlled final mock and OMR practice.
Stop
Buying new books, entering daily score competitions, taking exhausting back-to-back mocks and beginning advanced chapters without a clear return.
The last full mock should leave enough time for review and recovery. Do not schedule it so close to the exam that mistakes create panic without time for useful response.
Days 28–30
The final three days: calm preparation is still preparation
- Review a compact error list and a few representative solved problems.
- Do short, confidence-preserving practice rather than an exhausting full paper.
- Prepare the printed hall ticket and permitted photo ID.
- Confirm the centre route and reporting time from the hall ticket.
- Keep pens and other permitted stationery ready.
- Protect normal sleep and meal routines.
- Avoid social-media rumours about leaked questions or cutoffs.

Adjust the duration to the student. Preserve the sequence—recall, attempt, review, decide—even when the total time is shorter.

Make the final month stable rather than dramatic
Parents can help by protecting a consistent study window, reducing avoidable logistical stress and keeping discussions focused on process. After a mock, ask what the student will change; do not turn every score into a forecast of qualification.
The final month should increase reliability and confidence in honest preparation. It should not make the student feel that one missed day has destroyed the entire plan.
