About RMO
The Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMO) is the second stage of the prestigious Indian Mathematical Olympiad journey. This three-hour subjective exam consists of six highly challenging problems that test participants’ deep understanding of mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills. The RMO is conducted in various languages, including English, Hindi, and other regional languages, as determined by respective Regional Coordinators.

Announcements
In view of the postponement of the IOQM 2025 examination in regions 04 and 05 to September 28, 2025 it has been decided to postpone the RMO 2025 examination in ALL regions from November 9, 2025 to November 16, 2025. This will allow RMO 2025 to be held in all regions on the same day.

Second Stage: Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMO 2025)
The Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMO) is the second stage of the national Olympiad program in Mathematics. Candidates shortlisted from IOQM 2025 will participate in this examination.
Date: November 16, 2025
Duration: 3 hours
Number of Questions: 6
Exam Pattern: Proof-based questions requiring clear, step-by-step reasoning.

RMO 2025 Registration Details
Students who qualify for RMO 2025 will be able to register after the publication of IOQM 2025 results.
Registration Start: After IOQM 2025 result declaration
Hall Ticket: Once registered, students can download their hall ticket immediately
Deadline for Registration: Will be notified after IOQM 2025 results
Students must appear for RMO 2025 at the center assigned in the region of their school.
No requests for a change of center will be entertained.
If there is only one center in a region, students must appear at that center.
If there are multiple centers in a region, students will have the option to choose from the available centers at the time of registration.

Third Stage: Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO 2026)
Successful candidates from the RMO will advance to the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO), the third stage of the program.
Date: January 18, 2026
Duration: 4.5 hours
Number of Questions: 6
Exam Pattern: Proof-oriented questions designed to assess higher-order mathematical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving ability.

The IOQM Result 2025 will be published on the official website ioqmexam.in. Candidates can log in with their credentials to view and download their scorecard. Results are expected to be released by the end of September or the first week of October 2025.

Students who qualify in IOQM 2025 will be eligible for the Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMO) 2025, scheduled on 16th November 2025.
The official cutoff for RMO qualification will be announced along with the result.

IOQM 2025 Result update
The IOQM Result 2025 will be available from 15th October 2025 in the Student Login at https://extstudent.ioqmexam.in/login.
Candidates can log in with their credentials to view and download their scorecard.
The official result notification will be published on ioqmexam.in.
The RMO 2025 exam will be conducted on November 16, 2025.
RMO 2025 registrations are expected to begin in the first week of October.
Students are advised to regularly check the official website for updates and announcements.

RMO 2024 Exam Details
- Date: Sunday, 3rd November 2024
- Time: 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
- Mode: Written, subjective type
- Duration: 3 hours
- Number of Problems: 6
RMO 2024 Qualification Criteria
Qualification from RMO 2024 to INMO 2025 is based on the following:
Category A: Students from Classes 8, 9, 10, and 11
- The top 30 students in Category A will qualify for INMO 2025.
- Ties at the 30th position will be resolved using IOQM 2024 scores.
Category B: Students from Class 12
- The top 6 students from Category B will qualify for INMO 2025.
- Ties at the 6th position will be resolved using IOQM 2024 scores.
Girls’ Quota: An additional 5 girl students from Category A will qualify for INMO 2025, irrespective of the number of girls in the top 30 students.There is no separate girls’ quota for Category B.
