RMO 2024 Results Published!

The Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) has officially released the RMO 2024 Results. Students who qualified for the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) 2025 have been announced.

IOQM 2024-25 Certificates Download

IOQM 2024 certificates will be available for download starting 16th December 2024. Access them on the official website: https://ioqm.manageexam.com/. (official notification from MTA)

RMO 2024 Final Result

The final scores and results of RMO 2024 will be announced on or before December 16, 2024.

Cutoffs for National and Regional Certificates- IOQM 2024

MTA Releases Certificate Criteria for IOQM 2024 Exam The Mathematics Teachers' Association (MTA) has officially announced the criteria for awarding Regional and National certificates for the IOQM 2024 exam.

The certificates will be available for download at https://ioqm.manageexam.com/ by this month (November) end. Please wait for a suitable announcement
A candidate may get a national certificate, or a regional certificate, or both, or none. This is as per the criteria announced earlier (see announcement dated 12th October below).
There are no certificates awarded by MTA for mere participation in RMO. Therefore a few candidates who were eligible to participate in RMO’2024 are not eligible for IOQM certificates this year.
The cutoffs have been determined after removing the candidates who wrote from the “probationary centres” from the list of participants (see announcement dated 20th October below). The candidates who wrote the exam from a probationary centre will be able to download certificates only against a self-declaration stating that they have not indulged in any malpractice. More details regarding the self-declaration will be made available once the certificates become available for download.

IOQM 2024 Updates: IOQM Certificate 2024

Students can now receive up to two certificates: a National Certificate and a Regional Certificate.

Please note that there will be separate cut-offs for each certificate, which will be released later by MTA(I). Stay tuned for further updates!

RMO 2024 Registration Updates

As per the official announcement by HBCSE, registration for RMO 2024 will tentatively begin at 17:00 on 22 October 2024. The registration link will be uploaded in the official website .Olympiads HBCSE

After completing the registration, students can immediately download their admit cards.

Important Notice:

Students must appear for RMO 2024 at the designated center within their school's region. No requests for center changes will be entertained.
In regions with only one center, students must attend that center. If multiple centers are available, students will have the option to choose from the provided centers.

RMO 2024 Qualified Students List

The list of students who have qualified for the RMO 2024 has been officially announced by the MTA.

MTA(I) received complaints regarding the IOQM exam, flagging unusual patterns in the roll numbers of selected students. After a detailed analysis of the score data, MTA(I) has placed six centers in a “probationary” category due to suspected malpractice. These centers may be blacklisted in the future.

Students from these “probationary” centers have been removed from the overall list, and the cut-offs have been revised to ensure fair regional and category-wise quotas. MTA(I) has now released the final list of students selected for the RMO based on the revised cut-offs.

Students from the “probationary” centers who scored above the cut-off are listed separately and are provisionally allowed to write the RMO exam. However, they may face disqualification and further penalties if later investigations reveal misconduct.

Certificate and RMO Qualification Criteria for IOQM 2024

MTA has announced the Certificate Criteria for IOQM 2024.

For IOQM 2024, students can now receive up to two certificates: a National Certificate and a Regional Certificate.

National Certificate:
- Awarded to the top 10% of all students who appeared for the IOQM 2024 exam.
- The cutoff is the minimum score needed to place within the top 10%, determined based on total participants.

Regional Certificate:
- Awarded to the top 10% of students in each region.
- The regional cutoff is the minimum score needed in that region for a certificate.

MTA has announced the RMO 2024 Qualification Criteria for IOQM 24

The Qualification Criteria for progressing from IOQM 2024 to RMO 2024 have been established by HBCSE.

IOQM 2024 Updates: Provisional Scores Available

The IOQM 2024 provisional scores are now available. Students can log in using their MTA registration number and date of birth to check their scores.

IOQM 2024 Updates

19th September 2024

A total of 736 challenges were submitted regarding the provisional key. After thoroughly reviewing each challenge, the committee has decided that no changes will be made, and the provisional key will now be considered the final key. Below, we address some important and common challenges:

Problem 8: The suggestion that the number could be negative is inconsistent with the problem’s phrasing and does not lead to other valid solutions.
Problem 9: While the variables m and n are not explicitly stated to be integers, any alternative interpretation still fails to provide a finite number of answers, so no confusion arises.
Problem 9: Although the word “pair” is not specifically described as “unordered,” the set notation “{…}” clearly indicates that we are considering unordered pairs.
Problem 21: The typo of “Integer” as “Intenger” cannot reasonably cause any confusion.
